Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

At JIICT, we want to make the process of submitting your manuscript as simple as possible. Please carefully follow our step-by-step process, completing each step before progressing to the next.

Ethical publishing

Ethics topics to consider when publishing, include:

  • Authorship of the paper:Articles should include the identities of all individuals who contributed to the published work, to maintain transparency and the integrity of the study. The decision of who should be named as an author and in what sequence is made jointly by the authors.
  • Originality and plagiarism: The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.

- Statement of Peer Review policies "A submitted paper will be delivered  to independent experts in your field for evaluation after submission. Reviewers are requested to assess the work's originality, importance, and validity."

- Statement of publication ethics "Articles should include the identities of all individuals who contributed to the published work, to maintain transparency and the integrity of the study. The decision of who should be named as an author and in what sequence is made jointly by the authors.

 

Submission guidelines

Format of articles

JIICT publishes original research in one format: Article. In most cases, we do not impose strict limits on word count or page number. However, we strongly recommend that you write concisely and stick to the following guidelines:

  • Articles should ideally be no more than 11 typeset pages
  • The main text should be no more than 4,500 words (not including Abstract, Methods, References and figure legends)
  • The title should be no more than 20 words
  • The abstract should be no more than 200 words
